Global Goal 15 of 17

SDG 15: Life on Land

“Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems.”

About This Goal

What is SDG 15: Life on Land?

SDG 15 focuses on protecting, restoring, and sustainably using terrestrial ecosystems— forests, wetlands, drylands, and mountains. Every day, 137 plant, animal, and insect species go extinct due to human activity. Schools can create habitats, study local biodiversity, run conservation projects, document the living systems around them, and advocate powerfully for the land their communities depend on.
